YEW TREE FARM, built from local mellow limestone, dates from the mid 17th Century. The original farmhouse has been enlarged over the centuries, and is now a charming country house, where guests are warmly welcomed and invited to relax in traditional and elegant surroundings.
Approached via a long private drive through an apple and pear orchard, the house is a haven of peace and tranquility. It stands on the edge of a pretty village on the Warwickshire/Gloucestershire/Oxfordshire border, and offers unspoilt views over the garden and the Cotswold countryside beyond. See MAP.
Fine traditional English furnishings and ancestral family portraits provide an ambience that is entirely in keeping with the long history of the house and its residents.
The owner, Lady Hereford, a keen and knowledgeable gardener, has transformed the grounds of her home into a beautiful and imaginative garden, full of surprises and wonderful vistas. House guests may explore the individual garden “rooms”, each of which features a different focal point.
Private tours of the gardens, guided by the owner, are available to visitors between May and October. Visits to other private gardens in the area can also be arranged.
